| Abstract: | A3-Cells model proposed in this paper is constructed on the basis of the microstructureanalysis of braided structural composites which can be produced by the 4-step braiding and unidirectional reinforced yarns to be added, it's named a 5D (direction) braiding. From this model and with the aid of a yarn/matrix interfacial damage condition, the orthotropic symmetry, bimodulus and elastic-plastic behavior are studied. The braiding perform and design formulas of the 5D braided composites are also described in this paper. |
