Adaptive Filtering for Leak Detecting Signals of Pipeline

Some difficulties exist in the signal processing of the leak detection of pipeline that is caused by the low signal to noise ratio.It is possible to enhance signal to noise ratio for pressure and flow signals by means of the adaptive filtering.The adaptive filter presented here is based in FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filtering with delay structure and combined with LMS (Least Mean Square) algorithm.The test results show the applicability and effectiveness for this approach.
