摘    要:介绍了国家气象中心一年来利用FY-1C极轨气象卫星开展地表监测和环境监测包括火情监测、水情监测、积雪监测、海冰监测及植被监测的情况。指出由于该卫星探测通道比美国NOAA卫星多、过境时机适宜,因而在气象卫星应用于地表灾情和环境监测方面具有明显的优势。

Abstract:During the one year operation after FY 1C Polar Orbiting Meteorological Satellite successfully launched in May 10,1999,National Satellite Meteorological Center(NSMC) utilize FY 1C data to apply for natural disaster and environment monitoring operationally and provide a lot of information on natural disaster and environment monitoring, including flooding, forest and grassland fire, snow coverage, draught, vegetation growth, sea ice, etc. These applications reflect many advantages of FY 1C data, including multiple channels data and suitable passing time. This paper gives the brief introduction about the application by using FY 1C data.
