| 摘 要： | 19世纪的中英两国小说文学中,都有着惩劝教化思想的体现,但作者对其处理方式却有着较大的不同,文学作品的背后隐含的是这一时期的社会意识形态———儒教与基督教是19世纪中国和英国两个国家的两种主流意识形态,其影响渗透于社会生活的方方面面,儒教与基督教教义虽然有别,但惩劝教化功能却是共有的,本文将从三方面探讨出现这种处理方式异同的原因。
