Abstract: | In this paper, a traveling waveguide slot antenna with a narrow side slit in the Ku-band is designed. First of all, a single waveguide slot antenna is designed, with a gain of more than 23.69dB, a beam width of 1.4° in the azimuth plane and an average of sidelobe less than -15dB. After 64 identical antennas are used for the array, the gain is greater than 41.88dB, the beam width is about 1.4°, and the sidelobe average is less than -13dB within 4% of the bandwidth. The simulation and test results show that the antenna can achieve high gain and low sidelobe in Ku-band, and the antenna design also has the advantage of good directivity and low profile. |
