| Abstract: | In this paper, a criterion of the Lanczos method for solving large unsymmetric linear systems is given. The UNSYMMLQ algorithm for solving such systems Ax = b, where A is large but unsymmetric, is presented. It is a generalization of Paige and Saunders SYMMLQ algorithm for solving symmetric linear systems. Some numerical experiments are described and discussed. |
