Abstract: | Hydrogen peroxide as a monopropellant and an oxidizer has been used for well over 60 years. Although much public information has been known on the silver catalyst and its characteristics there is a dearth of specific information on the design of catalyst bed based on silver screen. In this paper activation method that can be adopted easily on silver catalyst is contrived. The experiment data and evaluation results from the fire tests with five catalyst beds are presented including the efficiency of characteristic exhaust velocity, pressure drop at catalyst. A scheme of catalyst arrangement is presented for high concentrated hydrogen peroxide. |
