| Abstract: | Social conventional appellation tends to be diversified and social conventional appellation vacancy occurs.Pragmatic ambiguity is obvious in the use of social conventional appellations.Such ambiguity violates conversational principles for intercourse,but effectively makes up for the inconveniences by social conventional appellation vacancy in modern society.This paper,based on the evolution of social conventional appellation,discusses the phenomenon of social conventional appellation vacancy from the perspective of pragmatic ambiguity. |
