| Abstract: | This paper sets forth the function of meteorological satellite,the features of the polar orbiting and the geostationary satellite as well asthe interdependant relation between them. The features and trend of theevolution of foreign satellites are reviewed. An idea for developmentof chinese meteorological satellite till the early of the next century arerecommended. |
