| Abstract: | Development of a controllable parafoil system provides the potential for precise undamaged recovery of large delicate payloads. In this paper, a six-degree-of-freedomflight dynamics model for controllable parafoil systems was presented and the simulation program was developed to aid study of system performance such as response to turn control. As an example, flight turn performance of a 40(sqm) area parafoil system was discussed and some satisfactory results to design and test parafoil system were obtained. |
