| Abstract: | This paper overviews the operative characteristics of concurrent engineering. It introduces its application in the development of air\|traffic\|control transponder, analyzes the effects of shortening the development cycle, improving quality, reducing the development cost and improving after\|sale services, and summarizes the experience and intimate knowledge for applying and spreading concurrent engineering. |
