Research Status and Prospect of Silica Glass Mechanical Quality Factor

Mechanical quality factor is one of the key mechanical performance indexes of silica glass, which reflects the mechanical energy loss of materials in the process of vibration, and directly affects the sensitivity and accuracy of device or system. In this paper, the research status of silica glass mechanical quality factor at home and abroad are introduced and analyzed from the aspects of calculation, measurement, influencing factor and processing technology. Characteristics of silica glass mechanical quality factor are explained, and future research directions are prospected.
