Application of a Squeeze Film Damper to LP Compressor Vibration |

| Abstract: | A squeeze film damper was designed to damp vibration resulted from LP compressor critical speed. Damper parameters matching with the compressor journal were determined through test and trim. During the test, the supply line of the compressor bearing was bypassed for maintaining the oil supply to the damper. |
