An Improved Variable Step-size LMS Algorithm and Its Application in Airborne Electron Jammer

Some LMS algorithms of variable step-size adaptive filtering are discussed; an improved variable step-size LMS adaptive algorithm is presented. Utilizing the autocorrelation of the error, the algorithm can effectively adjust the step-size while maintaining the immunity against jamming, and the proposed algorithm has fast convergence rate, lower steady stare misadjustment. The algorithm is used in the adaptive transmitter-receiver isolation system of electron jammer and simulated with computer; the simulation results are coincided with the analysis, which indicates that the algorithm has some feasibilities and advantages.
