Abstract:Intelligent position correcting is one of the key technologies in the winding process of a composite, and the crucial issue is how to achieve accurate detection and control of the deviation amount of the tape. On the basis of an analysis of the causes of deviation and the feasibility of correction, the paper proposes an edge detection method based on linear array charge cupled device (CCD) to deal with the problem and analyzes the detection principle. Hence, the paper establishes a mathematical model of the intelligent position correcting system and analyzes the stability of the system. Moreover, a simulation of this system and an experimental correction is made by using the compound control of Fuzzy-PID(Proportion-Integral-Derivative). The results show that the compound control of Fuzzy-PID is better than individual Fuzzy control and a separate PID control, since it completely meets the control requirements of a winding process.
