Missions to the outer solar system and beyond

A report on the second IAA symposium on realistic near-term advanced scientific space missions, held in Aosta, Italy, 29 June-1 July 1998. Though some might find the idea of interstellar travel far-fetched, the question it raises of the need for a space-based infra-structure and economy is pertinent to a growing number of today's activities.
