A Research on the Permissible Variation of the Sun-Synchronous Repeating Orbit

In order to complete the flight mission, we must bring forward the requirements of the orbit characteristics. These requirements determine the permissible variation of the satellite orbit parameters. This paper discusses some aspects about the orbit permissible variation of the sun-synchronous repeating orbit with an analytical method. These aspects include air-drag,coverage overlap,phase holding, and so on. The analysis lays on the control of the orbit parameters. This paper will be helpful for the research of the orbit design and keeping of the sun-synchronous repeating orbit.
