| Abstract: | Recent observational evidence on solar oscillations is reviewed; this evidence strongly favors the global interpretation for much of the observed spectrum. Implications of these observations for the study of the solar interior and atmosphere are discussed.This work was supported in part by the National Science Foundation and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. |
