Digital Processing of Signal Phase Angle |

| Abstract: | The loss of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is derived when the magnitude of weak signals in noise is discarded and the phase angle is quantized for digital processing. It is shown that very coarse quantization results in only a small loss. |
