| Abstract: | This paper deals with the kinetics of the ion nitrided layer growth for armco iron, steels 45, 40Cr, 42CrMo and 38CrMoAl. The mathematical model for quantitatively describing the kinetics of the compound and diffusion layer growth under different process parameters for these materials has been established Using these equations to simulate the kinetics of ion nitrided layer growth for these materials the simulating curves coincide quite well with the experimental data |
