Abstract:Decreasing porosity rate in fabrication of particle reinforced metal matrix composites is the key in stirring cast process. One method is given to calculate and measure porosity rate.By analyzing types and forming tnechanism of porosity in SiCp/ZL101 composites, some methods to de-crease porosity rate are indicated in this paper.
