| Abstract: | Through examining the peculiar understanding of water in Shen Congwen' s The Western Hunan and Random Notes on Journey to Hunan , the paper discovers that "soft outward and hard inward" and "kind to everything without scramble" are not only Shen Congwen' s attitudes towards life, but also his artistic style in constructing "the World of Western Hunan". |
