Abstract:
Sun glinting from a satellite in earth orbit is suggested as the probable cause of a reported lunar flash observed on May 23, 1985. This conflicts with the suggestion that a lunar ionization phenomenon is the source and points out concern that flashes from space debris must always be considered in the investigation of sky — flash discoveries.
