Space charge sheath formation in a magnetized plasma flow around space bodies

Space charge sheath formation in a magnetized plasma flow around space bodies is considered for the cases of high surface conductivity, free electron emission, dipole magnetic field. The results are applied to explain different phenomena in the ionosphere and magnetosphere of the Earth and planets such as polar aurora and kilometric radiation of the Earth and decametric radiation of the Jovian satellite Io.
