Analysis of a Type of Proportional Drive Circuit with Reciprocal Lock Function

A proportional drive circuit for bipolar power transistor (GTR) is introduced, which has excellent drive performance of being able to reduce the switch losses and the storing time of the power switch. The reciprocal lock function is set up in the circuit in order to prevent the up and down power switches of the bridge from turning on at the same time. Thus the converter power switch may operate reliably and the influence of the drive dircuit upon the output waveform is decreased. The circuit suits specially to the SPWM bridge inverter and is successfully used in practical cases.The drive circuit and the magnetizing condition of the drive transformer are also thoroughly analyzed in the paper.
