A flight test method to determine the dead man's curve of the helicopterwas presented in this article. Some kinds of factors affecting the dead man's curve werediscussed. The relationship between dead man's curve and some parameters, such as autorotation performance, collective pitch response and carrying ability of land gear, wasderived in the paper. Compared with the result of helicopter flight test, the method isacceptable and can be used in some kinds of helicopter flight test.
