Photocounting distributions, the decision threshold, and the probability of error are obtained for a binary optical communication system in which both the signal and background radiation are Gaussian processes. This would be the case, for example, when the radiation source is a nonlocked multimode laser or when the received radiation is scattered from a satellite. Dark current is considered. The results indicate that when possible, counting times should be adjusted to be large in comparison with the background radiation coherence time, and optical amplification before detection should be employed.  相似文献

介绍了湍流信道条件下光强闪烁的对数正态分布模型和负指数分布模型,仿真分析比较了两种信道模型条件下无线光通信系统的差错性能。仿真结果表明,平均接收功率相同时,弱湍流条件下,系统的误比特率明显低于强湍流的情况;误比特率为10。时,弱湍流信道闪烁指数为0.25情况下,系统所需的平均接收光功率为-51.5dBm,而强湍流下,系统所需的平均接收光功率为一17.1dBm,比弱湍流下多需34.4dB的平均接收光功率。分析结果表明,弱湍流对数正态分布信道模型和强湍流负指数分布模型不能很好地描述中湍流信道模型,对此有待进一步研究。  相似文献

A multistage estimation scheme is presented for estimating the parameters of a received carrier signal possibly phase-modulated by unknown data and experiencing very high Doppler, Doppler rate, etc. Such a situation arises, for example, in the case of the Global Positioning Systems (GPS). In the proposed scheme, the first-stage estimator operates as a coarse estimator of the frequency and its derivatives, resulting in higher RMS estimation errors but with a relatively small probability of the frequency estimation error exceeding one-half of the sampling frequency (an event termed cycle slip). The second stage of the estimator operates on the error signal available from the first stage, refining the overall estimates, and in the process also reduces the number of cycle slips. The first-stage algorithm is a modified least-squares algorithm operating on the differential signal model and referred to as differential least squares (DLS). The second-stage algorithm is an extended Kalman filter, which yields the estimate of the phase as well as refining the frequency estimate. A major advantage of the proposed algorithm is a reduction in the threshold for the received carrier power-to-noise power spectral density ratio (CNR) as compared with the threshold achievable by either of the algorithms alone  相似文献

Detection systems with distributed sensors and data fusion are increasingly used by surveillance systems. A system formed by N inhomogeneous constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detectors (cell-averaging (CA) and ordered statistic (OS) CFAR detectors) is studied. A recursive formulation of an algorithm that permits a fixed level of false alarms in the data fusion center is presented, to set the optimum individual threshold levels in the CFAR receivers and the optimum `K out of N' decision rule in order to maximize the total probability of detection. The algorithm also considers receivers of different quality or with different communication channel qualities connecting them with the fusion center. This procedure has been applied to several hypothetical networks with distributed CA-CFAR and OS-CFAR receivers and for Rayleigh targets and interference, and it was seen that in general the fusion decision OR rule is not always the best  相似文献

An improved method for frame synchronization of PCM telemetered data is described and performance analyses are presented. This method is based on the utilization of a threshold detector whose level is selfvarying according to the characteristics of the received data. It is simple to implement and simpler from an operational point of view than the frame synchronizers currently in use in that a threshold control is altogether eliminated. Analyses show, furthermore, that a synchronizer using a self-varying threshold always has a higher probability of detecting the synchronization code no matter what the frame length, sync code length, or error level.  相似文献

This paper presents the sensitivity analysis of a class of receivers called finite-lag receivers, introduced by the authors in [1] through [3]. Since these receivers are based on the use of fixed-lag smoothing techniques, algorithms for the calculation of large-scale and small-scale sensitivities of fixed-lag smoothing are derived using a state augmentation approach. Steady-state analysis of these algorithms shows that an explicit relation can be obtained between sensitivity coefficients of fixed-lag smoothing and filtering. The specific case of sensitivity to variations in the measurement (channel) noise is considered as an example. These results are applied to study the sensitivity performance of the finite-lag receivers for analog communication. It is shown, for example, that finite-lag receivers for AM signals, besides being superior in performance [1]-[3], [11], in terms of output SNR or error variance, are also much less sensitive to the additive noise power level, compared to zero-lag receivers.  相似文献

Recent interest in direct-ranging navigation methods has prompted new research into practical receiver structures which provide improved signal processing. Maximum likelihood receivers are compared with conventional phase-locked receivers by theoretical and simulation methods as phase estimators based on signal measurements only. Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) enhancement is examined and filter recommendations made. An adaptive maximum likelihood receiver is then developed which uses both signal measurements and a priori data to improve phase estimation accuracy. Simulation results indicate a 33.3 dB processing gain yielding a ranging error standard deviation of ±15 feet for zero dB received SNR. Nonadaptive and adaptive receivers are fabricated, flight tested, and experimental results reported.  相似文献

理想的混合协同传输系统中,所有的中继节点都参与译码,将带来计算复杂度的提高、节点资源消耗的增加以及信息传输时延的增大。针对多节点的协同无线传输网络,提出了一种基于服务质量(Quality of Service, QoS)的自适应混合协同传输方法,并进行了性能分析,给出了系统误码率(Symbol Error Rate, SER)及中断概率的闭合表达式。该方法根据目的节点的QoS需求以及中继节点的信噪比(SNR)门限,动态地调整中继节点的传输模式,能够减小系统能耗,延长节点使用寿命。数值及仿真结果表明,基于中继节点信噪比门限的混合协同传输能够以较低的实现复杂度获得与理想的混合协同传输相近的性能,理论的性能分析结果与实际仿真结果相一致。  相似文献

Cumulative probability distributions such as occur in radar detection problems are approximated by a new version of the saddlepoint method of evaluating the inverse Laplace transform of the moment-generating function. When the number of radar pulses integrated is large, the approximation of lowest order yields good accuracy in the tails of the distributions, yet requires much less computation than standard recursive methods. Greater accuracy can be achieved upon summing the residual series by converting it to a continued fraction. The method is applied to evaluating the error-function integral and the Mth-order Q function, and to approximating the inverse of the chi-squared distribution. Cumulative distributions of discrete random variables, needed for determining error probabilities in optical communication receivers that involve counting photoelectrons, can be approximated by a simple modification of the method, which is here applied to the Laguerre distribution.  相似文献

Signal or target detection is sometimes complicated by the presence of strong interference. When this interference occurs mainly in the sidelobes of the antenna pattern, a solution to this problem is realized through a sidelobe canceler (SLC) implementation. Since the false-alarm probability is a system parameter of special importance in radar, an interference-canceling technique for radar application should maintain the false-alarm probability constant over a wide range of incident interference power. With the requirements of sidelobe interference cancellation and constant false alarm rate (CFAR), a new algorithm for radar detection in the presence of sidelobe interference is developed from the generalized likelihood ratio test of Neyman-Pearson. In this development, the received interference is modeled as a nonstationary but slowly varying Gaussian random process. Cancellation of the sidelobe interference is based upon a `synchronous' estimate of the spatial covariance of the interference for the range gate being tested. This algorithm provides a fixed false-alarm rate and a fixed threshold which depend only upon the parameters of the algorithm  相似文献

Joint maximum likelihood estimators are presented for the signal amplitude and noise power density in a coherent PCM channel with white Gaussian noise and a correlation receiver. The estimates are based upon the correlation coefficient outputs of the receiver. From these estimators, an estimator for the quantity (received signal energy)/bit/,(noise power)/(unit bandwidth) upon which the error probabilities depend, is derived. This estimator is shown to be useful as 1) a point estimator for the signal-to-noise ratio for the higher values of this ratio (about 4 dB or greater), and 2) an easily calculated statistic upon which to base data acceptance or rejection criteria. The acceptance or rejection levels are obtained by the use of confidence interval curves in conjunction with word error probability data.  相似文献

 现代定位系统中,传感器往往被安放在运动平台上,其位置无法精确得知,存在估计误差,将严重影响对目标的定位精度。针对这一问题,提出基于约束总体最小二乘(CTLS)的到达时差(TDOA)定位算法。首先通过引入中间变量,将非线性TDOA定位方程转化为伪线性方程,再利用CTLS技术,全面考虑伪线性方程所有系数中的噪声。在此基础上推导了定位方程的目标函数,再根据牛顿迭代方法,进行数值迭代,快速得到精确解。采用一阶小噪声扰动分析方法,对该算法的理论性能进行了分析,证明了算法的无偏性和逼近克拉美-罗下限(CRLB)。仿真实验表明,该算法克服了现有总体最小二乘(TLS)算法不能达到CRLB、两步加权最小二乘(two-step WLS)算法在较高噪声时性能发散的缺陷,在较高噪声时定位精度仍然能达到CRLB。  相似文献

The leading edge estimator (LEE) of a pulse signal is defined as the instant at which a filtered version of the received noisy signal passes a preset threshold. A rigorous analysis for a rectangular pulse model of the signal results in an exact probability density function for the LEE, valid within the time interval of the leading edge of the filtered pulse. Possible occurrence of the threshold crossing outside of this interval is considered to be an anomalous estimate, since it leads to a gross error in comparison with the regular cases. It is found that the density function of the LEE error is asymmetrical and therefore biased, that the probability PA of anomalous estimation increases with the filter bandwidth, thus setting a well definable limit to the latter and that, for prespecified PA, the minimum bias and variance are proportional, respectively, to R-1 and R-2, minima being obtained by allowing for the largest bandwidth compatible with PA. On the other hand, for given bandwidth the variance decreases only as R-1. Here R is the signal-to-noise energy ratio. Results are presented in form of parameterized graphs.  相似文献

 无人机(UAV)作为中继传输平台受到了国内外研究人员的广泛关注。本文研究了非对称衰落信道下的无人机中继传输系统,提出了输出信噪比最大化准则下的波束形成(BF)优化方案,并推导出系统中断概率、遍历容量和平均误符号率等无线通信系统主要性能指标的理论表达式。通过计算机仿真验证了本文提出的中继传输方案及性能分析的正确性,并定量分析了天线数量、信道参数以及功率分配对系统性能的影响,为无人机中继传输系统的设计及性能评估提供了参考和依据。  相似文献

提出一种基于STBC—VBLAST混合结构的预编码传输方案。本方案以成对差错概率最小化准则为基础。理论推导给出线性预编码矩阵的构造方法,该方法分别对不同STBC层进行单独预处理.各层预编码矩阵由特征波束成形以及功率分配矩阵构成。仿真结果表明:本方案可有效降低系统差错概率,对于正交STBC还可同时提高系统信道容量,且在低维调制下效果更为显著。此外。理论分析显示对于正交STBC编码,信道容量最大化准则与成对差错概率最小化准则等价。  相似文献

低成本消费级GNSS芯片相较于传统测绘级接收机在体积、功耗等方面具有突出优势,在未来无人驾驶、物联网等新兴应用领域具有极大潜力。然而当前低成本GNSS芯片的观测量存在非常严重的噪声和误差,为了改善观测质量,低成本芯片正逐渐从单频向多频过渡。首先调研了目前低成本GNSS接收机对多频信号的支持情况,然后介绍了北斗三号多频观测在电离层延迟和整周模糊度估计等方面的应用。通过对真实数据的采集和分析,针对当前原始观测量存在的诸多问题,提出了具体的预处理方案,并在此基础上开展了信号强度、电离层和模糊度实验。实验结果表明,基于华为Mate 40手机的低成本GNSS方案的北斗三频电离层延迟估计误差的均值为-2.97m,三频整周模糊度估计的成功率达93.8%,相较于单频整周模糊度估计的3.11%成功率有显著提升。  相似文献

Reducing energy storage requirements of space power systems by illuminating the photovoltaic arrays with a remotely located laser system is addressed. It is proposed that large lasers be located on cloud-free sites at one or more ground locations and that large lenses or mirrors with adaptive optical correction be used to reduce the beam spread due to diffraction or atmospheric turbulence. During the eclipse periods or lunar night, the lasers illuminate the solar arrays to a level sufficient to provide operating power. Two applications are discussed: illumination of geosynchronous orbit satellites and illumination of a moonbase power system. The detection of incoherent pulse trains in compound-Gaussian disturbance with known spectral density is dealt with here. Two alternative approaches are investigated, The first, assuming perfect knowledge of the signal fluctuation law and implementing the Neyman-Pearson test on the observed waveform, turns out to be not applicable to the radar problem. The second, instead, relying on the generalized likelihood ratio optimization strategy, leads to a canonical detector, whose structure is independent of the clutter amplitude probability density function. Interestingly, this detector turns out to be constant false-alarm rate in the sense that threshold setting does not require any knowledge as to the clutter distribution, Moreover, since such a processor is not implementable in real situations, we also present an FFT-based (fast Fourier transform) suboptimum structure. Finally, we give closed-form formulas for the detection performance of both receivers, showing that both of them largely outperform the square-law detector, especially in the presence of very spiky clutter  相似文献

This paper analyzes a sequential feedback detection scheme derived by Kramer's nonsequential intermittent one; in addition to the noiseless information feedback channel, it makes use of a noiseless decision feedback channel. Expressions for the normalized average evergy per symbol, average decision time, probability of error, and average power are derived. The comparison with the nonsequential intermittent scheme shows that the proposed one allows an appreciable gain in transmission rate and requires a smaller peak-to-average power ratio.  相似文献
